Job summary

Everforth ECS seeks a Software Engineer to join a hybrid remote/onsite team with minimum of 3 days onsite at Fairfax, VA corporate office or Springfield, VA customer site. You will work on AI/ML and Big Data/Cloud solutions in an Agile environment.

You will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications, use Kubernetes/OpenShift, cloud services, scripting, and DevSecOps tools. Strong collaboration and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related IT field, or equivalent experience.
• Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI + CI Poly.
• 3-5+ years designing, coding, deploying, and supporting enterprise-level systems.
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills with ability to visualize processes and anticipate outcomes.
• Experience with DevSecOps frameworks (e.g. GitLab, Jira).
• Experience developing architecture/system diagrams and data flow diagrams.
• Experience with containerization/orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Experience with Linux CLI including scripting.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.

• Determine operational feasibility by evaluating problem definition and requirements, third-party analysis, and proposed solutions.
• Estimate and meet timelines, working both independently and as a member of the larger team.
• Brief stakeholders by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
• Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes to processes.
• Develop software application tests and testing strategies to improve product development and deployed operations.
• Develop scripting solutions which automate manual processes to support throughput demands.
• Embrace challenges with enthusiasm to develop imaginative solutions to unique operational problems.
• Ability to work in person a minimum of 3 days per week.

Everforth ECS is seeking an innovative and articulate Software Engineer to support the execution of a variety of projects including Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning and Big Data/Cloud Solutions. This position requires strong technical skills in software development and enterprise application integration. You will work closely with the technical team to develop, test, deploy, and maintain solutions in an Agile environment, promoting excellence in collaboration and customer service. You should expect a fast-paced, multidisciplinary-team environment with tight deadlines.

• Experience with Linux command-line interface (CLI) including scripting
• Experience working in an Agile environment (e.g. work breakdown/refinement, ongoing task updates)
• Excellent communication/presentation skills to make recommendations to stakeholders with varying degrees of technical awareness
• Ability to quickly grasp and leverage new technologies
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to travel (less than 10%) to mostly CONUS locations

Desired Skills

• Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
• Master's degree in Engineering in Computer Science or a related technical field
• DoD Approved 8570, IAT Level I Certification (e.g. Security+)
• 3+ years of experience designing, coding, deploying, and supporting enterprise-level systems
• Experience with UI frameworks (e.g. React)
• Experience with automation engines (e.e. Ansible)
• Experience utilizing big data tools (e.g. Airflow, Django, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL)
• Experience with cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure)
• Experience in computer vision, computer graphics, and homography
• Experience with Geographic Information System (GIS) data
• Experience in CUDA programming
• Experience with Machine Learning (ML) algorithms
• Experience working with Department of Defense (DoD) organizations or performers
