Job summary

Nelnet, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to join a delivery team building high‑volume backend services in C#/.NET and front-end components in TypeScript/Angular.

The role supports hybrid work with in-office and remote options, and requires a Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of software development experience. You’ll work with SQL/NoSQL stores, Docker containers, and AWS tooling in a secure, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience developing backend services with a focus on performance and maintainability.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/Angular frontend and SQL data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend C#/.NET services for high-volume workflows.
• Build Angular frontend features and ensure accessibility conformity.
• Write and maintain automated unit/integration tests.
• Design and implement secure, auditable code with proper logging.
• Collaborate in an Agile team with CI/CD and IaC practices.
