Job summary

A leading autonomous driving technology company in California is seeking a Software Engineer to build infrastructure for evaluating their driving technology. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in software engineering or a quantitative PhD, alongside strong C++ and Python skills. Responsibilities include administering virtual driving tests and improving simulation efficiency in a collaborative team environment. This role offers competitive compensation ranging from $170,000 to $216,000 USD annually.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-time software engineering experience, or a quantitative PhD with software engineering experience.
• Experience in developing hypotheses, designing and running experiments, processing data from experiments.

Responsibilities

• Build the infrastructure to administer a virtual driver's test for the Waymo Driver.
• Improve the signal quality from the virtual driver's test.
• Apply ML models to enhance the efficiency of the virtual driver's test.
• Use software engineering best practices to improve code health.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Science and Systems Engineering.
