As an iOS and macOS engineer on this team, you'll help shape Automations and the connected home experience, turning smart devices into something truly intelligent. You'll ship code that runs on the devices you use every day, as part of a collaborative team building a first‑party app across all of Apple's platforms.
You'll focus on Automations the system that lets people connect their apps, devices, and home accessories into seamless, intelligent routines. Your work will span deep OS integration, collaboration with first‑party apps and services, and the leading edge of on‑device intelligence and Proactive's technologies. You'll break down complex technical challenges, build relationships across teams, and craft system features that feel effortless to use. You'll bring a builder's mindset to both new and existing products anticipating issues before they surface, guiding early stage development of new capabilities, and writing code that's built to last. Whether you're shipping a new feature, fixing a bug, or refining the architecture underneath it all, you'll bring the same attention to detail that turns good software into something people love.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $277,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
