Job summary

Sharetec is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team. This full-time, exempt, hybrid-remote role can be located at Ft.

Wayne, IN or Waco, TX with remote consideration for strong candidates in the United States. You will build and modernize our banking software, document APIs, participate in agile processes, and contribute to automated testing with Jest, Jasmine, Cypress, Telerik Test Studio, and Grafana k6.

Qualifications

• > 2 years of software engineer experience; banking/finance domain a plus.
• Experience with Angular or similar JS framework.

Responsibilities

• Document processes, products, and APIs.
• Assist releases and stay on schedule.
• Participate in story pointing and estimation.
• Review code and participate in pair programming.
• Be an Agile Scrum advocate.
• Modernize existing software and write new features.

This is a full-time, exempt, hybrid-remote position that can be located at one of our office sites in Ft. Wayne, IN or Waco, TX. For the right candidate, fully remote work is also an option. We can only consider remote employees who reside in one of the states listed below. The starting salary range is $70,000-$80,000.

As a Software Engineer, You Will

• Document our processes, products, and APIs
• Assist with our releases and ensure we remain on schedule
• Participate in story pointing and estimation activities
• Review code and provide feedback/participate in pair programming

• Write and maintain automated tests using tools such as Jest, Jasmine, Cypress, Telerik Test Studio, and Grafana k6

You Should Have

• 2+ years’ experience as a software engineer
• Experience working with databases such as Progress OpenEdge, MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, PostgreSQL
• Experience with Agile Scrum
• Experience with the Angular Framework or equivalent JavaScript frameworks
• Experience with a major backend language like C#, C++, .Net, Ruby, Go
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well cross-functional
• A strong product sense, maintain a high degree of empathy for your internal and external users and seek feedback from them about your work
• A strong sense of development ergonomics, and take pride in understanding your engineer customers
• Comfort working with ambiguity and get excited about working collaboratively to better define complex problems, figure out solutions, and then execute on them
• The ability to strike a balance between speed and quality of features to create durable technology. You thrive on building scalable systems that are robust, failure-resistant, and easy to maintain
• A practice of keeping up with industry trends and assessing new technologies that can help us better solve problems
