Job summary

iCapital is seeking a Backend Software Engineer at the Associate or Assistant Vice President level to design, build, and operate services powering the iCapital platform. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and partners throughout the lifecycle.

Responsibilities include designing, building, testing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based services and APIs, owning projects end-to-end, and contributing to code reviews and architectural decisions.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years experience with a modern programming language such as Ruby, Scala, Python, Java, or TypeScript.
• Experience building or integrating with APIs and backend services.
• Knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Familiarity with automated testing, version control, and modern software delivery practices.
• Understanding of cloud application development and distributed systems.

About the Role

iCapital is seeking a Backend Software Engineer at the Associate or Assistant Vice President level. You will design, build, and operate services that power the iCapital platform.

Our service-oriented platform primarily uses Scala, Ruby, and Python, but prior experience with these languages is not required. We value strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to learn new technologies.

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $80,000 to $140,000 depending on level. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
