Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking a Software Engineer Associate for Albany, NY, focused on Asset & Wealth Management software engineering. You will collaborate with global teams to build customer-centric products, analyze existing systems, and implement new features following standard guidelines.

The role emphasizes automated testing, architectural best practices, and continuous improvement within an Agile environment.

Qualifications

Degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent industry experience.
3+ years experience with Java or related OO language.
Experience with microservices architecture and API development.
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
Ability to establish trusted partnerships with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with a global cross functional team in building customer-centric products.
Analyze existing software to identify areas of improvement and provide estimates for implementing new features.
Follow standard software development guidelines and best practices.
Create and maintain test plans, documentation and automated tests for all technical changes.
Grow technical skillset through cross-training and knowledge advancement opportunities.
Participate in user story refinement, technical design, code reviews and Agile process.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts.
