Job summary

Amazon in Seattle is seeking a Software Development Engineer for the AWS Applied AI Solutions Physical AI team. You will design and implement scenario generation pipelines, build generative AI model integration layers, and develop export connectors for simulation platforms.

You will work with real-world data, ensure physical plausibility of agent dynamics, and collaborate with SageMaker teams to enable validation workflows and scalable synthetic data generation for autonomous systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, multi‑threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scenario generation pipelines that transform design specifications into diverse scenario variations with coverage analysis.
• Build generative AI model integration layers that use real-world data to create realistic behaviors while ensuring physical plausibility.
• Develop export connectors for industry-standard simulation platforms handling format compatibility and data transfer.
• Create synthetic sensor data generation systems producing multi-modal outputs with accurate sensor characteristics and metadata tracking.
• Implement coverage analysis algorithms identifying gaps and recommending generation parameters for systematic coverage.
• Integrate with SageMaker for perception model training workflows and visualization tooling for validation reporting.
