Amazon's AWS Agentic AI science team seeks an Applied Scientist to develop next‑gen models for intelligent automation, partnering with tech and business teams to solve real-world problems. You will publish findings and work with world‑class engineers to bring ideas to life.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building models for business applications.
• PhD, or Master’s degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience.
• Experience with patents or publications at top-tier peer conferences or journals.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high‑performance computing.
• Experience using Unix/Linux.
• Professional software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement new automated reasoning features that employ scalable and efficient approaches to solve complex problems using neural learning and symbolic/formal reasoning.
• Apply software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all team deliverables.
• Work in an agile, startup‑like development environment.
• Deliver high‑quality scientific artifacts.
• Help drive business decisions with the team.
