LM Studio in New York City is seeking an Application Software Engineer who will dream up, build, and ship features for millions of users. You will blend UI work with systems engineering and applied AI to deliver polished experiences.

You should enjoy building software products, collaborating across the stack, and scaling desktop applications. The role is in-person at our SoHo–Manhattan office; relocation support is available for the right candidate.

The Role

We're looking for a talented, hungry, and technically excellent Application Software Engineer to join our team.

In this role you will dream up, build, and ship LM Studio features to millions of users worldwide, at a fast clip. You will be intermixing UI work with systems engineering, design, and applied AI / agentic engineering work.

You may be a good fit if you love building software products, have an innate talent for crafting product experiences, and you approach technical problems with a scientific method mindset. Holistic understanding of software systems and the ability to work across the stack is a must. Experience building desktop applications is a big plus, but not required.

This role is in-person in our New York City office. Relocation assistance is possible. In your application, please share technical details about your expertise and things that you've built.
