LM Studio in New York City is seeking an Application Software Engineer to dream up, build, and ship features for millions of users worldwide, at a fast pace. The role blends UI work with systems engineering and applied AI, requiring a scientific approach to problems and broad tech literacy across the stack.

You will work in person at our NYC office with relocation assistance possible; familiarity with React, TypeScript, Electron, Swift, Objective-C, and C++ is relevant to the role.

Job description

The Role

We're looking for a talented, hungry, and technically excellent Application Software Engineer to join our team.

In this role you will dream up, build, and ship LM Studio features to millions of users worldwide, at a fast clip. You will be intermixing UI work with systems engineering, design, and applied AI / agentic engineering work.

You may be a good fit if you love building software products, have an innate talent for crafting product experiences, and you approach technical problems with a scientific method mindset. Holistic understanding of software systems and the ability to work across the stack is a must. Experience building desktop applications is a big plus, but not required.

This role is in-person in our New York City office. Relocation assistance is possible.

Relevant experience: React, TypeScript, Electron, Swift, Objective-C, C++.
