Software Engineer, AI Platform (Release Engineering) - AI Engineering

Our AI Engineering team is a new, impactful group where you'll contribute your ideas and participate in communities like KServe, Kubeflow, and VLLM. We foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high-impact work.

We are hiring Software Engineers and Associate Software Engineers to join the AI Platform Core Components team. This team supports Red Hat's enterprise AI products, such as RHEL AI and OpenShift AI, focusing on automating and optimizing software integration and deployment to ensure high quality and rapid delivery. Your work will directly influence our growing AI/ML product family.

Applicants should ideally be located in the Boston, MA, or Raleigh, NC areas. Remote candidates will also be considered based on their skills and the role's requirements.

Responsibilities

1. Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
2. Monitor and improve CI/CD performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks.
3. Collaborate with Product Management and engineering teams for smooth deployment and releases.
4. Automate testing within pipelines to ensure quality and efficiency.
5. Maintain documentation for CI/CD processes and best practices.
6. Implement security standards in CI/CD pipelines.
7. Diagnose and resolve pipeline issues, assist with deployment failures.

Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Tekton, or GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, or similar cloud-native tech.
• Proficiency in Go or Python, scripting in Bash or Groovy.
• Strong problem-solving skills and root cause analysis.
• Experience with Agile, Jira, Git.
• Quick learner of new tools and technologies.
• Excellent communication skills.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $108,760 - $173,800, based on experience and qualifications.
