We’re looking for Software Engineers and Associate Software Engineers to join the AI Platform Core Components team. The AI Platform team helps power Red Hat's enterprise AI products, like RHEL AI and OpenShift AI, through our high-performing and secure AI-building platform. This role offers opportunities to work on critical components of our AI platform, with a focus on the deep integration of the AI stack with hardware accelerators from leading vendors.

Ideally, applicants should be located in the Boston, MA or Raleigh, NC area. However, we are open to considering candidates for remote work opportunities, depending on the specific role and required technical skills.

What you will do

• Contribute to the development and implementation of software for RHEL AI to leverage the power of hardware accelerators
• Contribute to packaging and distribution efforts, including converting Python wheels to RPMs
• Contribute to product quality by continuously improving process and coding standards
• Work closely with teams within AI Engineering, fostering collaboration
• Learn and help implement architectural concepts key to our product development

What you will bring

• 2+ years of experience as a software developer, engineer, or similar role
• Experience in developing applications in Go or Python
• Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, or other cloud-native technologies
• Experience in PyTorch
• Experience with agile development, CI/CD, Jira, and Git
• Ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with package management and distribution, including converting Python wheels to RPMs, is a plus

The salary range for this position is $86,640.00 - $173,800.00. Actual offer will depend on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors, including job location, experience, skills, external market value, and internal pay equity. This position may be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For Remote-US roles, the salary range may vary by location but will be aligned with job duties and experience.
