Job summary

Everforth ECS in Manassas, VA is seeking a Software Engineer to support AI/ML and Big Data/cloud projects, focusing on Naval Acoustics AI/ML. The role requires strong technical leadership, experience with modern languages, ML architecture, and cloud deployment in an agile setting.

You will collaborate with project and technical teams to prototype and deliver capabilities, ensuring timely completion and operations in the cloud and on end-user systems.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related IT field or equivalent experience.
• Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Proficiencies in modern programming languages such as Python, Java, and JavaScript.
• Experience utilizing containerization technologies (e.g. Docker) and orchestration frameworks (e.g. Kubernetes).
• 5 years of experience coding, designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise level systems.
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills with an ability to visualize processes and outcomes.
• Enhancing applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations, and designing and implementing systems.
• Experience developing Architecture and Data Flow Diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with end-users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
• Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions
• Establish and meet projected timelines and work independently or as a member of a team
• Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues
• Improves operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures
