Job summary

Browserbase is seeking a hands-on Platform Engineer to scale our AI-enabled tools from our San Francisco headquarters. You will own distributed systems, contribute code in Go or TypeScript, and help maintain reliability across multiple regions.

You will work closely with a small, ambitious team to push the platform forward, drive projects independently, and influence the roadmap. Competitive salary, meaningful equity, and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Deep experience building and scaling distributed systems.
• Strong expertise coding in Go or Typescript; bonus if you’ve touched Firecracker or similar VMMs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes and Docker, message queues, relational databases, automated testing, performance optimization, and zero-downtime multi-region deployments.
• A systems-thinking mindset and ability to drive projects with ownership and accountability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to adapt messaging to the audience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Engineering to gather input and support across teams.
• Define, scope, and review key projects; set roadmap priorities and sequence deliverables.
• Establish best practices around development, operations, and reliability.
• Enhance the platform to support rapidly growing customer adoption.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.
• Document findings and share knowledge with the team.
