Job summary

Discernis, Inc. in NYC is building AI for legal discovery and seeks engineers to own frontend, backend, and DevOps work. You’ll ship features that attorneys rely on and integrate AI tools into real workflows.

You’ll join a small team with direct access to the founder and Head of Engineering, expect hands-on ownership, rapid iteration, and a valuable equity component as the company grows.

Qualifications

• 0 to 3 years of experience and a strong CS foundation.
• You ship. You’d rather close five tickets well than plan one forever.
• You design the solution first, then use AI tools to move faster, not to think for you.
• You pick up new stacks on your own and take ownership without being asked.

Responsibilities

• Build the product engineers use daily across frontend and backend.
• Own DevOps and deployment pipelines.
• Integrate AI into real workflows with attention to UX.
• Collaborate with Head of Engineering and founder to ship impactful features.
