Job summary

Discernis is hiring a senior software engineer to lead architecture and shipping for high-leverage systems. You’ll partner with our Head of Engineering to design, review code, plan sprints, and mentor a growing team.

You will own end-to-end systems, make build-vs-buy decisions, and work directly with customers to pinpoint issues. We offer meaningful equity, health insurance, and a fast-moving, founder-led environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years shipping production systems.
• Owned a system end to end, from design through on-call.
• Able to operate with little direction and strong architectural opinions.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and roadmap for your area, then ship it.
• Review code and set engineering standards with our Head of Engineering.
• Plan sprints, scope projects, and make build-vs-buy calls.
• Work directly with customers to understand what’s breaking and why.
• Help interview and mentor as the team grows.
