Job summary

Amazon Leo is building a high-scale planning and simulation platform for satellite capacity, demand, pricing, inventory and reservations. You will architect and implement production-ready systems used across multiple use cases, partnering with modelers and operators to deliver reliable results in a constantly evolving space.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Scale up and optimize planning and simulation methods for capacity and coverage.
• Make large problems tractable through decomposition, precomputation, caching, and parallelism.
• Build and operate high-performance data and compute infrastructure for planning.
• Build systems that produce correct, trustworthy results and guard the accuracy of numbers.
• Partner with modelers and operators to move methods toward production.
• Contribute across other planning systems from backend services to data pipelines.
• Utilise AWS and other Amazon technologies to build highly available, scalable software services.
