Job summary

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer - AI Data to join our distributed AI team and build data pipelines powering model training and next-generation products. You will develop high-quality datasets at scale and collaborate with AI scientists to improve training data and models.

Ideal candidates have a CS degree (or equivalent), 5+ years of backend software experience, and strong Python and Bash skills in Linux. You’ll thrive in ambiguity and own projects from inception to delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash.
• Experience with production systems and data pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and independence in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Discover new sources of audio data and build pipelines for training datasets.
• Build and improve large-scale data-processing systems for quality, throughput and cost.
• Collaborate with AI Scientists to enhance training datasets and models.
• Own engineering projects from discovery to implementation and iteration.
