Job summary

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer - AI Data to join its AI team and build data pipelines powering model training. We create petabyte-scale datasets and optimize for quality and cost in a distributed environment with no office.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of backend software engineering, strong Python/Bash skills, and experience operating production data systems. Remote work with international collaboration is available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with backend focus.
• Strong Python and Bash skills in Linux environments.
• Experience building data pipelines and large-scale data processing.

Responsibilities

• Discover new sources of audio data and build data pipelines.
• Build and improve large-scale data-processing systems for quality, throughput and cost.
• Collaborate with AI Scientists to improve training datasets.
• Own engineering projects from discovery to implementation and improvement.
