Nathan Kunes Incorporated (NKI) is seeking a full-time Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain AI-assisted software for integration with embedded systems. The role focuses on web-based applications and tools, with collaboration across teams and customers to refine requirements.

This is an onsite position with a 9/80 schedule. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in CS or related field, has 2+ years in software engineering, and can work with Python, C#/Rust, JavaScript/TypeScript,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field of study.
• 2+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering.
• Exposure using AI to write code.
• Proficiency in Python, C# or Rust, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS.
• Networking basics including TLS/HTTPS.
• Web-based UI development experience.
• Windows and Linux experience.
• U.S. citizenship and Secret DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement AI-assisted software applications.
• Write requirements, specifications, and test documents.
• Execute tests and document completed testing.
• Interface with customers to develop requirements and perform design reviews.
