Nathan Kunes Incorporated (NKI) is seeking a full-time Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain AI-assisted software for integration with embedded systems. The role focuses on web-based applications and tools, with collaboration across teams and customers to refine requirements.

This is an onsite position with a 9/80 schedule. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in CS or related field, has 2+ years in software engineering, and can work with Python, C#/Rust, JavaScript/TypeScript,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field of study.
• 2+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering.
• Exposure using AI to write code.
• Proficiency in Python, C# or Rust, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS.
• Networking basics including TLS/HTTPS.
• Web-based UI development experience.
• Windows and Linux experience.
• U.S. citizenship and Secret DoD security clearance.

The Software Engineer will help to aid in next generation tools and systems development. This is an exciting position that will have you developing web-based applications that integrate with our custom embedded systems, utilizing generative AI and AI-assisted coding tools to design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions.

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team at NKI. This is a 100% onsite, full-time position following a 9/80 schedule.

Responsibilities Include:

• Design, develop, and implement AI-assisted software applications
• Writing of requirements, specifications, and test documents
• Execution of tests and documentation of completed testing
• Interface with customers to develop requirements and perform design reviews

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field of study
• 2+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering
• Exposure using AI to write code
• Experience with the following languages is a must:
  • Python
  • C# or Rust
  • JavaScript/TypeScript
  • HTML / CSS
• Networking Basics (TLS / HTTPS)
• Web-based UI development
• Windows / Linux
• U.S. citizenship required; must have Secret DoD security clearance.

Compensation

• Base salary: $90,000-$125,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
