Job summary

Visa is seeking a SW Engineer in Austin, TX to conduct analysis, design, programming, and debugging of software for commercial or end user applications. You will write code, perform testing, and support installation and maintenance while interfacing with users to define requirements.

The role demands proficiency in Java and Python, experience with FastAPI and APIs, and familiarity with Generative AI tools. This hybrid position requires some in-office days as directed by the Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Proficient in Java and Python with modern async patterns and high-performance serialization.
• Experience with LangChain, RAG architectures, and LLM API integration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of computer programs for commercial or end user applications.
• Write code, complete programming tasks, and perform testing and debugging of applications.
• Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• Interface with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
• Develop cost estimates, budgets, and schedules as needed.
