Visa is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the global Disputes Platform team in Austin. You will design and build scalable backend solutions using Java, distributed systems, microservices, SQL, and cloud-native tech to deliver secure, resilient payments solutions.

You will collaborate across product, engineering, and business units, mentoring peers and driving platform modernization with observability and AI-assisted development.

Formación

• 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 2 years with Advanced degree or 0 with PhD, or 8+ years total.
• Strong experience building scalable, distributed, enterprise-grade apps.
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, React, and REST/SOAP.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable Java-based apps, APIs, and microservices.
• Build highly available distributed systems handling large transaction volumes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features aligned to business goals.
• Mentor team members, perform code reviews, and improve code quality.
• Analyze production issues and implement long-term stability improvements.
• Utilize SQL/NoSQL for complex data processing and analytics.
