deciBel Research is seeking an experienced Software Developer in Huntsville, AL to join the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapon System Fire Control Battle Manager software team. You will develop and maintain software that supports the U.S.
missile defense system, collaborating to understand, implement, and test existing and new capabilities and algorithms. The role requires a STEM degree and 5 years of related experience (or a master's with 2 years, or a PhD with 1 year), plus strong
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM from an accredited university; 5 years related experience, or Master's with 2 years, or PhD with 1 year; max 12 years of experience.
- Strong background in math and physics.
- Experience with Ada, C++, or Java.
- Willingness to become proficient with Ada software development.
- MATLAB and Python experience.
- Must support in-person/closed-area work environment.
- Active DoD Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain GMD Weapon System Fire Control Battle Manager software.
- Understand, implement, and test existing and new capabilities and algorithms.
- Review requirements and test cases for the GFC software team.
