Space is seeking a Software Engineer for a backend-focused role on the SMX Space and Intelligence BU. The position is on-site in Boulder, CO, four days a week, with a clearance requirement to obtain Interim DoD Secret or higher.
You will write Python code, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deploy with Gitlab, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm Charts. Experience with Jira/Confluence and Agile methods is preferred.
The SMX Space and Intelligence (S&I) Business Unit (BU) is on the ground floor across the future remote sensing ecosystem for all orbital regimes (LEO, MEO, HEO, and GEO). SMX has an immediate opportunity for a Software Engineer who enjoys working on the backend particularly using Python. They have hands‑on experience and an understanding of engineering processes supporting large, National Defense, Agile software development programs.
Position location is at customer’s location, on-site in Boulder, CO, 4 days per week.

The proposed salary for this position is: $125,000—$145,000 USD
