Outside Analytics, a proud subsidiary of SMX, seeks a DevSecOps Engineer for on-site work in Boulder, CO. The role centers on deploying and securing CI/CD pipelines, managing Kubernetes/OpenShift ecosystems, and ensuring compliant, secure mission-critical deployments for DoD-related projects.

Required are 5+ years hands-on experience, active Interim DoD Secret clearance, and US citizenship. Salary ranges $145,000–$160,000 USD, with standard SMX benefits.

Qualifications

• This position requires an active Interim DoD Secret Clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required and a background screen will be conducted.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with scripting, CI/CD pipelines, artifact repositories, multi-language testing, and containerization.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate deployments to development, test, and production environments.
• Lead software release process including branching, versioning, and readiness assessments.
• Create and improve CI pipelines; monitor performance and resolve issues.
• Manage artifact promotion and integration with development tools.
• Implement CD and automated/manual deployments in orchestrated environments.
• Oversee security scanning, multi-application deployment in CI/CD, and Helm charts.
• Ensure cybersecurity protocols are followed and deployments are secure.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Work with deployment teams to orchestrate deployments to development, test, and operational environments.
• Execute software release process for branching, versioning, manifest management, development readiness assessments and test.
• Create, maintain, and improve Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines.
• Monitor CI pipelines for performance and resolve observed or reported issues.
• Implement and maintain version promotion of one or more applications within CI pipelines.
• Integrate CI pipelines with development tools for artifact management, software test, software quality assessment, etc.
• Implement Continuous Delivery and execute automated or manual deployments of applications into orchestrated environments.
• Manage integration, security scanning, and deployment of multiple applications into orchestrated frameworks.
• Execute checkout and troubleshooting of deployed applications within development and production environments.
• Implement and maintain Helm charts.
• Ensure cybersecurity protocols are followed.

Required Skills & Experience

• This position requires an active Interim DoD Secret Clearance. Clearance required: Active DoD Secret. Due to the clearance requirement, U.S. Citizenship is required. Candidate must also participate in a background screen.
• 5+ years demonstrable, proficient, hands-on experience with:
  • Bash/Python scripting
  • GitLab CI/CD pipeline stages and configuration
  • Artifactory
  • Creating tests to handle multiple languages
  • Container management (Docker)

Desired Skills & Experience

• Active DoD TS/SCI eligible clearance highly preferred
• Proficiency with the following tools/technologies:
  • Kubernetes/ArgoCD
  • OpenShift/ELK
  • Prometheus/Tempo/Grafana
  • Helm charts
  • NATS data layer
  • Cyber security certifications (e.g. CISSP)
  • Linux system administration (RHEL)
