SMX Space and Intelligence (S&I) in Boulder, CO is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who is fluent in Python. You will work on real-time data processing, sensor data, and visualization within a security‑sensitive environment.
The role is on‑site four days per week at the customer location in Boulder, CO. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, write scalable Python code, and use Gitlab, Docker, Kubernetes, and Jira to deliver secure capabilities under DoD standards.

The SMX Space and Intelligence (S&I) Business Unit (BU) is on the ground floor across the future remote sensing ecosystem for all orbital regimes (LEO, MEO, HEO, and GEO). SMX has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer who considers working in Python as their “bread and butter”. They are a recognized professional with hands‑on expertise and an excellent understanding of engineering processes supporting large, National Defense, Agile software development programs.
Position location is at customer’s location, on‑site in Boulder, CO, 4 days per week.

The proposed salary for this position is:
$150,000 - $180,000 USD
