Job summary

CTS International is looking for a skilled software developer to design and maintain safety-critical embedded software in Oklahoma City, USA. The role requires translating customer requirements into software architectures and managing the software lifecycle.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 9 years of experience in software development, along with fluency in UML and SysML.

Qualifications

Overview

Designs, develops, tests, and maintains safety-critical embedded software across the full product lifecycle. Translates customer and system requirements into robust, testable software architectures and detailed designs, implements and optimizes software components and algorithms for system integration and performance, and creates and maintains comprehensive documentation including requirements traceability, design descriptions, test plans, and release notes. Leads verification and validation activities (unit, integration, system, regression), produces certification evidence and safety artifacts, debugs and resolves defects and field issues, and responds to user inquiries and technical support tickets. Evaluates emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes to keep the software and processes current. Establishes and continuously improves development processes and toolchains, plans and executes R&D projects, and manages software suppliers and partners. Performs software project management activities including schedule tracking, risk management, and resource planning.

Education & Experience

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD+4 years related work experience, Master+7 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is preferred, although not required.
