Cornerstone Defense LLC is seeking a Software Engineer 3 for Mission Application Dev & Int initiatives in Annapolis Junction, MD. You will design, develop, test, and sustain the GHOSTGEM software suite, including DINO, with emphasis on secure, scalable delivery.

Qualifications include advanced CS degree or equivalent experience, extensive Linux scripting, Python, Rust, NoSQL (MongoDB), Docker/Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD (GitLab CI). A TS/SCI w/Poly is required to apply.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's in computer science or related field with required years of experience (5+ or 7+ depending on degree).
• Strong Linux and scripting experience; modern software stacks and cloud-native tooling are preferred.
• Experience with Python, Rust, NoSQL, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, sustain, and troubleshoot the GHOSTGEM software suite (including DINO).
• Integrate with COTS, GOTS, and FOSS components; participate in testing and deployment.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver mission-focused software in a secure environment.

• Summary: The Software Engineer shall be responsible for developing, sustaining, and troubleshooting GHOSTGEMs software suite of applications including DINO and possibly future capabilities as mission needs arise. Software development activities include implementation, testing, and integration with other COTS, GOTS, and FOSS products, packages, and libraries. Qualifications: Master's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. OR Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity OR Nine (9) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Required Skills:
• Experience using the Linux CLI and Tools
• Experience developing scripts using Bash
• Recent Python (3.x) software development experience
• Experience with Rust programming concepts, or a willingness and aptitude to learn Rust
• Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and containerd
• Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
• Experience creating Helm Charts to deploy containerized services on Kubernetes
• Familiar with Messaging Frameworks including RabbitMQ
• Familiar with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools including GitLab CI
• Familiar with IaC principles, methodologies, and tools such as Ansible
• Experience using Git Source Control System Desired Skills:
• Experience with SQL databases including PostgreSQL
