Job summary

Cornerstone Defense LLC is seeking a Software Engineer 3 in Annapolis Junction, MD. This role involves designing and sustaining a Big Data processing platform that aggregates analytic results for end-users.

Candidates must have a Master's degree in computer science or equivalent experience. The position requires active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. A comprehensive benefits package is offered including medical, dental, vision, and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in computer science with relevant experience.
• Five years of SWE experience with a Master's degree, or seven years with a Bachelor's degree.
• Nine years of experience in relevant programs and contracts.

Summary

The Software Engineer shall be responsible for the design, development, test, and sustainment of an end-to-end Big Data processing platform that provides downstream systems with aggregated analytic results and allows end-users the ability to query, visualize, and analyze event data from multiple data sources.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.


• OR Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity


• OR Nine (9) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Required Skills

• Experience using the Linux CLI


• Experience with Bash/Python scripting


• Experience developing Java applications in a Linux environment


• Experience developing with the Spring framework including Spring Boot


• Experience with processing Big Data


• Demonstrated experience with system design and architecture


• Experience with Web development, HTTP, and REST services


• Experience with NoSQL technologies such as Elasticsearch and Accumulo


• Experience with CI/CD principles, concepts, best practices and tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI
