Captivation Software LLC is seeking a senior software engineer in the Annapolis Junction/MD area to contribute to mission-critical software for national security. You will help design, implement, and maintain microservices with Java/Spring, Docker, and Kubernetes, while collaborating in an agile team.

Applicants must hold a Top Secret/SCI clearance with a favorable polygraph and be a U.S. citizen. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus extensive SWE background are required.

Description

Captivation Software is looking for a senior level software engineer to assist with daily responsibilities.

Requirements

Security Clearance:

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen

Minimum Qualifications:

• Twenty (20) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
• Four (4) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Required Skills:

• Experience using the Linux command line interface
• Experience developing microservices using Java and Spring
• Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and containers
• Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
• Experience using system monitoring tools including Grafana and Prometheus
• Experience using Git for version control

Desired Skills:

• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery principles and tools such as GitLab CI and ArgoCD
• Experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch for data indexing and retrieval
• Experience with NiFi for dataflow management and ingestion
• Experience with the Amazon HCI platform
• Strong debugging, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to operate effectively in an Agile development environment and on a multi disciplinary team

• Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
• Up to 20% 401k contribution (No Matching Required and Vested from Day 1)
