Captivation Software seeks a mid-level Software Engineer 2 to design, develop and maintain system management infrastructure software for HPC on Linux. You will automate with Bash, build containers, and apply HashiCorp Vault and IAM practices to protect sensitive data, in a fast-paced defense-oriented environment.

The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph eligibility, a degree in CS or related field, and hands-on experience with Linux, Docker/Podman, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Must hold Top Secret/ SCI with favorable polygraph; U.S. citizen.
• Master's degree plus 3 years SWE experience, or Bachelor's plus 5 years, or 7+ years total.
• Experience with Linux CLI and Bash scripting is required.

Captivation Software is looking for a mid level software engineer who shall be responsible for developing and maintaining system management infrastructure software and services for High Performance Computing (HPC) systems in a Linux environment.

Requirements

Security Clearance:

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus three (3) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
• Seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Required Skills:

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools
• Experience developing Bash scripts to automate manual processes
• Familiar with Datacenter Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools such as Netbox
• Experience with Secret Management tools such as HashiCorp Vault
• Familiar with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions such as Keycloak
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, PodMan, containers
• Experience with automation frameworks including Ansible for orchestrating deployment
• Familiar with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI and Jenkins
• Experience with Git Source Control System

Desired Skills:

• Familiar with Observability and Analytics platform solutions such as Splunk
• Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)

• Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
• Up to 20% 401k contribution (No Matching Required and Vested from Day 1)
