Job summary

Captivation Software is seeking a mid-level software engineer to implement access controls and permission mechanisms for securing access to critical HPC resources. You will work to ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards while contributing to mission-critical software in a government-facing environment.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and US citizenship. Strong Python, Bash, Linux, and Ansible experience are essential, along with CI/CD and IAM tools.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, plus three (3) years SWE experience or
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, plus five (5) years SWE experience or
• Seven (7) years of SWE experience in programs of similar scope, type and complexity.

Responsibilities

• Implement access controls and permission mechanisms for securing critical HPC resources.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.
• Automate provisioning and orchestration of HPC hardware and software components using Ansible.

Description

Captivation Software is looking for a mid level software engineer who shall be responsible for implementing access controls and permission mechanisms for securing access to critical HPC system resources through robust permission management, ensuring compliance with the Agency’s security policies and industry standards.

Requirements

Security Clearance:

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus three (3) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
• Seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Required Skills:

• Experience using the Linux CLI
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash/Python) to automate tasks and processes
• Basic Linux systems administration including User and Group Management
• Experience implementing Access Controls and permissions including RBAC and HBAC in a Linux environment
• Experience developing software solutions using the Python programming languages
• Familiar with IAM solutions such as KeyCloak, FreeIPA, SSSD, LDAP, Kerberos
• Experience developing Ansible playbooks to orchestrate the automation of provisioning HPC hardware and software components
• Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI and Jenkins
• Experience with Git Source Control System

Desired Skills:

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, PodMan, containers
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
• Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies

• Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
