Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of SWE experience or Bachelor's with 5+ years of SWE experience or 7+ years SWE experience.
• Experience with Linux CLI and Linux tools.
• Scripting in Bash/Python to automate tasks and processes.
• Recent Python development experience.
• Familiar with CI/CD principles and GitLab CI.
• Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe.
• Experience with Git Source Control System.

Responsibilities

Description

Captivation Software is looking for a mid level software engineer who shall be responsible for developing and maintaining system management infrastructure software and services for High Performance Computing (HPC) systems in a Linux environment.

Requirements

Security Clearance:

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus three (3) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
• Seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Required Skills:

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash/Python) to automate tasks and processes
• Recent software development experience using Python
• Familiar with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools including GitLab CI
• Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies
• Experience with Git Source Control System

Desired Skills:

• Experience with automation frameworks including Ansible for orchestrating deployment
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, PodMan, containers
• Experience with Secret Management tools including HashiCorp Vault
• Familiar with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions including Keycloak
• Familiar with Datacenter Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools including Netbox
• Familiar with Observability and Analytics platform solutions such as Splunk
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)

• Annual Salary: $130,000 – $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
