Job summary

Wyetech, LLC is seeking an experienced Java developer to join a focused team supporting federal government customers. Candidates should be familiar with Git, Gradle, Guice/DI, Docker, REST, and have strong Linux skills; Angular/Typescript UI experience is a plus.

Due to federal requirements, TS/SCI clearance is required. The role offers a range of benefits and opportunities across multiple contract locations in Maryland and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Fourteen (14) or more years of experience as a Software Engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• TS/SCI with agency appropriate polygraph clearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user and system requirements to design and implement software solutions.
• Develop, test, debug, and maintain Java and Angular applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs, service integrations, PostgreSQL database interactions, queries, and data access components.
• Support application modernization efforts, including migration to Spring Boot, decomposition of monolithic functionality into microservices, and containerization initiatives.
• Implement and maintain document parsing and data processing capabilities while supporting cloud migration initiatives.
• Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum team to deliver software capabilities on a four-week sprint cadence.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, testing activities, continuous process improvement, technical documentation, and utilization of GitLab CI/CD, Jira, and Confluence to support development and delivery activities.

Looking for an experienced Java developer to fill an opening on a small, mission-focused team. Candidate should be familiar with Git, Gradle, Guice/Dependency Injection, Docker, and REST; experience with the ELK stack, MongoDB, Ansible, and Kubernetes is strongly desired. Any background developing front-end UI solutions in Angular/Typescript would be beneficial, along with a willingness to work limited-scope UI tasks. Candidate should have strong Linux skills and be willing to work in customer spaces or in an offsite SCIF.

Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).

$64.04 - $136.27 an hour

Pay Range: $64.04- $136.27 per hour*

Hourly pay rates listed for this position serve as a general guideline and are not a guarantee of compensation. Compensation will vary dependent upon factors including but not limited to: Government contract rates; education; relevant prior work experience, knowledge, skills, and competencies; certifications, and geographic location. *Hourly pay rates reflect the pre-benefit gross wage amounts.
