Job summary

HonorVet Technologies in Austin, TX is seeking a Software Engineer 2 to advance web and client/server applications. You will study user needs, design system specs, write and debug code in C# .NET Blazor and SQL, and collaborate with analysts and architects.

This role involves implementing front- and back-end features using HTML5, CSS, Blazor, and Oracle/SQL Server, supporting Texas Department of Agriculture applications.

Qualifications

• Experience in web-based software development across multiple languages.
• Proven root cause analysis and problem resolution experience.
• Proficiency in .NET, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SQL, Oracle, and stored procedures.
• Experience with web programming using .NET/C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, and Oracle/SQL Server.
• Agile SDLC experience.
• Team-based SDLC tasks and collaboration.
• Ability to present software change demos to customers.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira or similar tools.
• Experience programming in C# .NET Blazor.
• Preferred: porting codebase to Blazor and WCAG accessibility knowledge.
• Experience with TDA systems is a plus.

Description:

Performs advanced computer programming work. Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes. Investigate problem areas. Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.

Write, test, debug, and document complex programs, including client/server and web-based applications using C# (.Net), Blazor, and/or SQL.

Design, develop and implement specialized programs or routines to create, supplement, and enhance front and back-end web-based applications software using HTML5, CSS, C# .NET Blazor, SQL, Stored Procedures, Oracle, and SQL Server.

Work closely and coordinate with systems analysts, architects, and various business areas to gather/validate requirements, understand technical issues, limitations and model solutions that meet the functional and technical requirements.

Provide support of Texas Department of Agriculture applications software through diagnosis of problems and implementation of changes to resolve problems and maintain software at the most current level.

Extensive experience in mobile application development using Visual Studio, .NET Core 9.0, and DevExpress tools, with expertise in implementing secure and seamless payment acceptance functionality within mobile apps to deliver interactive, user-friendly, and high-performance solutions.

Perform research and analysis required specialized programs or routines to supplement and enhance front and back-end web-based applications software using HTML5, CSS, C# .NET Blazor, SQL, Stored Procedures, Oracle, and SQL Server.

Recommend improvements to processes for application development projects, as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements:

• 4 Required Experience in development of web-based software applications
• 4 Required Experience in root cause analysis and resolution
• 4 Required Experience in programming in various coding languages including but not limited to: .Net, HTML, HTML5, ASP, Java, JSP, .NET/C#, front end and back-end user interface methodologies technologies, SQL, and stored procedures
• 4 Required Experience and proficiency in web programming using code languages: .NET/C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, Stored Procedures, Oracle, and SQL Server
• 3 Required Experience with Agile SDLC methodology
• 3 Required Experience working on a team performing a variety of SDLC related tasks
• 3 Required Experience in intra-team collaboration for requirements gathering and software development, modifications, and maintenance
• 3 Required Experience in presenting in-person software application change demonstrations for the purposes of seeking customer approval of proposed design
• 2 Required Experience using Azure Dev Ops, Jira, or similar
• 1 Required Experience programming in C# .Net Blazor
• 2 Preferred Experience porting existing codebase from Java or Windows Forms to C# .NET Blazor
