Job summary

Akina, Inc. in Maryland is seeking a Software Engineer 1 (Java, Angular, Elasticsearch) to develop, maintain and enhance complex software systems, including analytics and real-time processing. This on-site role requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph within 7 years.

You will work with a team to design, code, review, and test software components, apply appropriate development methodologies, and support documentation and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required.
• Four (4) years of additional SWE experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph within 7 years.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add features.
• Debug, integrate, and test software components and document results.
• Lead the team on projects as appropriate to the process.
• Develop data queries and interfaces for databases and data repositories.
