Job summary

Captivation Software is seeking a mid-level software engineer with strong Java experience to contribute to knowledge management and data curation. You will perform ETL on enterprise data and engage with the GhostMachine Portable Map Reduce analytics framework within a collaborative team.

The role includes leveraging Claude Code AI to speed up development, and requires eligibility for a Top Secret/SCI clearance with a favorable polygraph, as well as U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years experience as a Software Engineer in programs of similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required.
• Four years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

Captivation Software is looking for a mid level software engineer with strong Java experience. This role focuses on knowledge management and data curation, with responsibilities that include performing ETL (extract, transform, and load) processes on enterprise-wide data. The position is part of a collaborative, well established team and offers the chance to build expertise in GhostMachine Portable Map Reduce analytics—a valuable opportunity for professional development. This team has recently started leveraging Claude Code AI to expedite development and engineering tasks.

Requirements

Security Clearance

Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen.
