Job summary

A leading IT recruitment consultancy is seeking an intern or postdoc researcher in Raleigh, NC.   • Cyber-physical security research experience advantageous.

Job Description

Needs an intern or postdoc researcher to contribute to a microgrid research and development projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Distributed state estimation application expertise for active distribution systems/microgrids
  • Expertise in robust control methods for stable transient operation of a microgrid

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduated with or in the final months of obtaining a PhD degree in Electrical engineering with major in power systems, in a US-Based University
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 3.5+ GPA
  • Excellent understanding of modern control theory principles including optimal control, robust control, Kalman estimators. Experience in applying these principles to power systems applications.
  • Familiarity with basic operation philosophies, control and protection concepts for various types of Distributed Energy Recourses (DER).
  • Familiarity with the microgrid operation concepts and the regulatory requirements for DER integration.
  • Cyber-physical security research experience.
  • C++/C programming skills.
  • Real-time power system simulation experience is a plus.
