Job summary

StoneEagle Group is seeking an experienced Software Engineer III to design, build, and support scalable business-critical applications. You’ll work hands-on with C#/.NET and/or PHP, design relational databases, and contribute to architecture decisions across the stack.

You’ll collaborate with a seasoned development team to deliver reliable solutions, mentor peers, and drive improvements from development through deployment and production support. Remote work is available.

Job description

StoneEagle is looking for an experienced Software Engineer III who enjoys solving complex problems, designing scalable applications, and taking ownership of technical solutions. We're seeking a hands-on engineer with strong experience in C# or PHP, Database Design, and Application Architecture to help build, enhance, and support our business-critical applications.

To be considered, candidates must have professional experience in all three areas:

• C# and/or PHP development
• Database Design

You'll collaborate with an experienced Development team to design reliable solutions, influence technical decisions, and drive improvements from development through deployment and production support.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using C#/.NET and/or PHP.
• Design and optimize relational databases to support application performance and reliability.
• Contribute to application architecture, technical design decisions, and long-term system improvements.
• Translate business requirements into practical, maintainable technical solutions.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs, web services, and database-driven applications.
• Troubleshoot complex application and production issues, identify root causes, and implement lasting solutions.
• Own technical solutions from design and development through deployment and production support.
• Participate in code reviews, collaborate across teams, and mentor other engineers.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Required Technical Experience

• C#/.NET or PHP Development: Strong hands-on experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting applications using at least one of these technologies. Experience with both is a plus.
• Database Design: Proven experience designing relational databases, creating efficient data structures, writing SQL queries, and optimizing database performance.
• Application Architecture: Demonstrated experience designing application architecture, applying software design patterns, and making technical decisions that support scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

• Object-oriented programming and MVC architecture
• SQL and relational database technologies
• REST APIs and web services
• Git and source control
• Cloud development and CI/CD practices
• Authentication, authorization, and application security

Nice to Have: Experience with both C# and PHP, AWS/Azure, ORM technologies, infrastructure automation, and SASS/LESS.

Salary: $115,000–$130,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications

Location: Remote
