Job summary

Net2Source (N2S) seeks a Software Development Engineer for a 6+ month onsite contract in Santa Clara, CA. The role focuses on building a scalable simulation framework to model thousands of nodes, without hardware constraints, using Golang and cloud-native microservices.

Candidates should have 8+ years in enterprise software design and development, strong CS fundamentals, and experience with AI-assisted coding tools like Claude Code, Codex or Cursor. Onsite work 4–5 days.

Job Title: Software Development Engineer

Duration : 6+ Months

Duties:

• Primary duties of this contracting position will be Create simulation framework for the Portworx Enteprise Control Plane to run clusters of 1000s of nodes without hardware constraints
• Refactor and redesign internal product interfaces to enable simulation and remove hardware dependency
• Recommend & implement clean software abstraction in the Product
• Experimenting with new technologies in order to push the state-of-the-art and innovate new solutions

Skills:

• Experience with heavy use of Claude Code, Codex or Cursor for AI-lead development
• Experience with Golang (Advance level) and Kubernetes
• 8+ years of experience in Designing, Development and Testing of Enterprise products (Golang preferred).
• BS in Computer Science required
• Good understanding of Microservice Architectures and Cloud Native platforms
• Designing micro services to operate and scale in a distributed system architecture that scales to thousands of nodes
• Proven design sensibility and the willingness to work in a collaborative, team oriented environment.
• Solid CS background in data structures, algorithms and software design.

MSP Notes:

• Fully onsite role at the Santa Clara office - 4-5 days in office
• Potentially 2 rounds of mostly technical interviews.
• Will be working on a specific project
• Role of the contractor is to create a simulation project where without needing real hardware you can simulate a scale like this where on one machine you can run an entire cluster of 1000s of nodes
• All will be in GOLANG, candidate experience with this language REQUIRED.
• Should have good working knowledge of distributed systems and Kubernetes
• Anybody who has done Golang development on Kubernetes with multi-node or distributed systems will be a good match.
• Should be an AI native - have used AI to code from the ground up and understand how to use Claude Code, Codex or Cursor
