In this role, you will work alongside a team of engineers, drive continuous improvement, and apply modern software development best practices in cloud-native applications while fostering an agile and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to software engineering best practices.
• Know and apply agile methodologies to adapt to a fast-moving technological landscape and ensure efficient project execution.
• Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance applications using React (e.g., Next.js) for front-end and Node.js, Django, or Go for back-end development.
• Design and implement secure, resilient, and maintainable architectures that align with industry standards.
• Drive continuous improvement by optimizing development workflows, automation, and software quality.
• Promote best practices in software engineering, including security, performance optimization, and testing.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI technologies and tools to improve products, workflows, and developer productivity.
• Know and stay up to date with emerging trends in cloud computing, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and AI/ML technologies.
• Create and maintain clear, detailed technical documentation for internal teams and stakeholders.
• Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather and refine technical requirements, ensuring project alignment.
• Design and document system architectures that meet business and technical requirements.
• Conduct peer code reviews, training sessions, and best practice workshops to enhance team performance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in web or mobile applications.
• Experience with front-end frameworks like React.
• Strong backend development skills with Node.js, Django, or other backend frameworks.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern software development and deployment strategies.
• Experience with agile methodologies, Git version control, and automated testing frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
• Previous experience gathering requirement specifications and defining a product.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Spanish.

Preferred

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or any related field.
• Experience with AI technologies in software products such as integrating LLMs, building AI-powered features, working with AI APIs, or applying AI tools to improve development workflows.
• Experience building or integrating with Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and tools.
• Certifications in Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) or any other related.
• Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Security+, CISSP, GIAC, or equivalent) or demonstrable experience with secure system design.
• Experience developing or maintaining HIPAA-compliant software systems and implementing secure user identity and access management (IAM) practices.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps or automation tools.
