Job summary

Roku, Inc. in California seeks a software engineer to research, design, and develop data processing applications and features for large-scale pipelines.

You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to build RESTful APIs, deploy data products, and contribute to CI/CD efforts using Java and containerized deployment. Qualifications include a BS in CS or related field and at least 1 year of experience, with hands-on work in AWS or GCP, Airflow, Spark, and ETL design.

• OO programming language: Java or Python.

What you'll be doing

• Research, design, and develop computer software programs.

You are required to have

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 1 year of experience in the position or in a related occupation.

Must have at least 1 year of prior work experience in the following:

1. Deploying to and operating in a public cloud such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), etc.
2. OO programming language: either Java or Python.
3. Building data pipelines to process data using Airflow and Spark.
4. Big data design.
5. ETL (Extraction, Transformation and Load).
6. Architecting software designs for Big data platforms.

Up to one day per week telecommuting may be permitted.

For California Only - The annual salary for this position is $207,000 - $360,700.

Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.
