Job summary

Uber is seeking a Software Engineer in San Francisco to architect foundational infrastructure powering decisions and services for millions of users. You will scale distributed systems, monitor performance, and own end-to-end delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Engineering at Uber means building for real-world impact under real-world constraints. As a Software Engineer, you will architect the foundational infrastructure that powers business decisions and core services for millions of users. Whether you are scaling distributed storage platforms or building high-performance data pipelines, you will be solving complex challenges at the intersection of low latency, high correctness, and massive scale.

Rate of Pay: $171,000 to $209,000 per year

What You'll Do

Basic Qualifications

• Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
• Position requires two years in:
  • C++, Python, Java, GIT, or SVN;
  • SQL or MySQL;
  • Data structures and algorithms development and functionality;
  • Designing technology stacks;
  • Debugging and monitoring for production services;
  • Distributed systems;
  • Software Development Lifecycle.
