Job summary

Valar Labs is a fast-growing AI diagnostics startup redefining oncology and urology with AI-powered diagnostics. Software Engineers build and run products that bring clinical-grade AI to oncologists worldwide, and support the agentic systems behind them.

Key responsibilities include building agentic pipelines, designing safe evals, creating clinician-facing portals, and optimizing production environments to serve thousands of patients, all within a HIPAA-compliant workflow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong full stack fundamentals in JavaScript, React and Node.
• Experience with Docker, AWS and production deployments.
• Daily fluency with agentic coding tools such as Claude Code and Codex, and judgment about where they help.
• 2+ years of software engineering experience; exceptional new grads welcome.
• (Optional) Experience building LLM powered products or working in healthcare.
