Job Opportunity: Software Engineer (Remote, Orlando, FL)

The Puyenpa family of companies, SBA Certified Native American Tribal 8(a) and multi-certified organizations, specializes in delivering IT, Management Consulting, and Construction solutions to the Federal Government and Commercial Sector. We are seeking a Software Engineer based in Orlando, FL, for a full-time remote role requiring an active Secret Clearance.

This position involves developing software for the Mobility Air Force Distributed Mission Operations program, focusing on training for the Aerial Refueling Mission. Responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and debugging applications related to virtual aerial refueling and distributed simulation analysis software.
• Collaborating with engineering and testing teams to build product backlogs for Scrum teams.
• Designing and implementing proof-of-concept prototypes involving distributed simulation, machine learning, AI, and related disciplines.

Minimum requirements include:

• 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience with a High School Diploma and 9 years of relevant experience.
• Extensive experience with JavaScript, Typescript, Java, C#, or C++, DIS packets, and Python.
• Experience supporting APIs between internal and external systems.
• Knowledge of Agile development, SDLC, and debugging tools.
• Strong requirement gathering and presentation skills.
• Ability to guide other engineers technically.
• Must be a US citizen with an active Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred qualifications include experience with DMO software, distributed simulation protocols (DIS, HLA), automated testing, real-time simulation software, and IAT Level 2 Certification.
