Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join our team in Massachusetts to build and maintain our simulation platform. You will implement software solutions, write thorough tests, and support features in production to deliver reliable software used by customers daily.

Responsibilities include implementing designs from senior engineers, unit/integration/end-to-end testing, post-launch support, code reviews, and contributing to on-call rotations and monitoring.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1+ year(s) of professional software development experience in Java.
  • Experience writing clean, testable, and maintainable code.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented design principles.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Job description

  • The team is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our team and contribute to building and maintaining our simulation platform.
  • In this role, you will implement well-defined software solutions, write thorough tests, and support the features you deliver in production.
  • You will work closely with your team and stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality software that our customers depend on daily.
Key Responsibilities:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 1+ year(s) of professional software development experience in Java
  • Experience writing clean, testable, and maintainable code
  • Familiarity with object-oriented design principles
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with AWS services (e.g., DynamoDB, SQS, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch)
  • Experience with distributed systems or microservices architecture
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, DynamoDB)
  • Exposure to simulation or modeling systems
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

The pay range that Tundra in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $43.90/hour - $49.76/hour.
