Global Proprietary Trading Firm in New York on-site is seeking an experienced Software Engineer/Quantitative Developer to work directly with traders and researchers. You will own strategy implementation and execution tooling, plus the infrastructure your traders rely on daily, embedded on a desk.

Requirements include 2+ years in quantitative development or similar, strong CS fundamentals, and a Bachelor’s degree in CS/Math/Stats.

We're representing one of the most profitable prop trading firms in the world. The firm trades across more than a thousand markets globally and has grown at high-teens to mid-20% annually for over a decade. Last year was one of their strongest on record.

Culturally, it's an outlier in finance. Completely flat in structure, no formal titles, no org chart. Retention is unusually high, almost unreal for this industry. Whoever has the context makes the call, not whoever has the most seniority, and you'll have direct access to the people running the firm within minutes of needing them. Every hire, regardless of prior seniority, starts as an IC on day one. Managers earn their teams before they manage them.

We're looking for an experienced Software Engineer to work directly with traders and researchers, embedded on a desk. You'll own strategy implementation and execution tooling, plus the infrastructure your traders rely on day-to-day.

You will need:

• At least 2+ years in quantitative development, software engineering, or a similar role
• Strong coding fundamentals - the firm is language-agnostic at the hiring stage and will teach you the primary in-house stack on the job
• Experience collaborating closely with quantitative researchers and trading teams
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar technical or quantitative field with demonstrably strong CS fundamentals
• Clear communicator able to work across teams and researchers
• Front office or trading-adjacent experience is desirable but not essential

Two things worth flagging before you apply: there's no engineer non-compete at this firm. And equity/bonus is tied to firm-wide performance, not a single desk.
