Mondo in New York is seeking a hands-on Software Developer with strong Python and SQL to design, build, and own scalable analytics-driven software solutions.

You will develop APIs, services, and workflows supporting reporting and automation, own projects end-to-end, and collaborate with cross-functional partners in a fast-paced, AI-oriented environment.

Job Title: Software Developer, Python & Analytics

Location-Type: Hybrid, New York, NY (3 days onsite per week) Must reside local to NYC currently, relocation will not be considered at this time.

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Contract

Compensation Range: $75-$80/hr W2

Job Description:

The client is seeking a hands-on Software Developer with strong Python and SQL expertise to design, build, and own scalable software solutions that support analytics, reporting, automation, and business workflows.

Job Summary

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions using Python and SQL
• Build APIs, services, integrations, and analytics-focused applications supporting business workflows and reporting
• Translate business requirements into well-architected technical solutions, owning projects from requirements through deployment
• Evaluate technical and architectural decisions independently, communicating the rationale clearly to both technical and business stakeholders
• Collaborate with developers, product partners, and cross-functional teams following best practices around version control, testing, CI/CD, reliability, and maintainability
• Contribute to emerging technology initiatives, including AI-enabled applications and automation

Minimum Requirements:

• 4-7 years of professional software development or software engineering experience
• Strong hands-on development experience with Python and SQL
• Experience designing and building APIs, services, or integrations
• Experience developing software that supports analytics and data-driven business use cases
• Strong understanding of software architecture, application design, and development best practices
• Demonstrated ability to own software solutions through the full development lifecycle
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with both technical and business stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with analytics, reporting, visualization, or business intelligence applications
• Experience with cloud technologies and modern deployment practices
• Exposure to AI-enabled applications or automation
• Experience contributing to a small, hands-on development team within a large corporate environment
• Financial services background is a plus but not required
